I want Mark and I to get healthy. I am 35 yrs. and he is 37yrs old. We still have a lot of years left. The start is almost here. We are already eating healthy...but the real stuff will start March 2nd at noon!

Great day today!

Today I was in charge of an American Girl Party at our local library. It was stressful before. However, it was so fun when it started. The older girls her put on a play for the young girls, they made dolls and had fun being a part of the year 1864. (Kirsten)

This is the start!

Tonight I joined a weight lose challenge. Along with 400 other people at our hospital. I am on a team of 4 people. We are going to weigh in on March 2nd. (It's Ponca's "Biggest Loser") We win cash prizes for the most % of weight lose for the team and then the person who loses the most weight over all. We have until May to lose as much as we can. Please pray for Mark and I . We both need to lose weight and pray this is the start of a new life. Keep looking, I will let you know how it's going. Plus, in May, I will post a new photo of how we look.

Our Birthday Boy!

This picture is of D and my Dad. They both had birthdays today. 59 years apart!

This is our pictures of the Birthday boy! He turned 4 today. Can you believe my baby is 4! Yes, he is wearing OSU... He made his mind up about 9 months ago that he liked OSU and made it clear. He likes Pistol Pete. I think just for the boots, hat and pistols of course. I makes it really fun around here. Because as most of you know M is a Die Hard OU Fan. The bathroom is OU his closet is all OU clothes. Hmmm a divided house. D told M right before the OU/OSU game. That "your team is goin' down" . It was so funny.

Finally a picture that I can post!

This is our little sweet pea in Heaven. He was only with us for a short while. I have been afraid to post pictures of him. We didn't get any with clothes on. The Nurse only took ones with them off. So, I met a really sweet lady through MOPS that took our picture with Mark Jr. outfit and blanket and made us this photo today!!! I just love it. He was only 6 oz and 8 inches long. He was born still on Nov. 25th 2002 at 6:14 pm. I wish now, we would have taken more pictures. But thank you Cope Photography!

Ten Practical New Year's Resolutions for Parents.

Ten Practical New Year's Resolutions for Parents

1. Say yes more: to spending time and doing things together.
2. Say no more: to I want, I need, everyone has it, and everyone does it.
3. Worry less: about all the large and small highly sensationalized harm that exists out there. The overwhelming odds are with you (but drive carefully – without the cell phone).
4. Listen more; talk at less: Ask what do you think? What are you feeling? Tell me about it. What would you do?
5. Negotiate less; explain more: Our kids deserve to know the thinking behind our decisions and expectations, but should not be equal partners at the bargaining table. We are the parents.
6. Read a little more: to your child, with your child, and in front of your child – books, magazines, newspapers, notes.
7. Write a little more: notes of love, recognition, encouragement, responsibility, and daily appreciation of life.
8. Expect a little more: good behavior, responsibility, manners, kindness, and all of the goodness that lies within our children.
9. Expect a little less: constant scheduling and enrichment filled days. Slow down, you move too fast. Children need a lot of slow to grow.
10. Connect more: to family, friends, the community, those less fortunate, and the natural world.

Awww..those moments that make you tear up!

M told me today, that he took D to the cemetery.(to visit Mark Jr. grave) While they were there, D said "can I pray" Mark thought he said "play". So, he said sure. Well, D looked at him and said"Daddy, bow your head". He proceeded to pray! What a blessing!
It made me tear up when he told me. Awww.. I love our children!

November 25th 2008.

November 25th, 2008. This date will not be any different then any other for most. However, for us this marks 6 yrs. for our son Mark Jr. to be in Heaven. Our little Angel ! 6 years of what ifs . We have made many friends. Friends that do not even know we lost a son. How do you just tell people? Some people get really weird when you talk about it. Like you should be over it by now, or oh, it was at birth. It doesn't make a difference. This was our child. One that we had watch grow on Ultrasounds, felt kick. He was real and he was alive!!!!
We are grateful for the people who were there for us. I wouldn't have wished this for anyone, however. We have made some wonderful friends by having a son that passed away. We have been able to help a few people by getting books and baby packs. I am thankful to God that we had him to see us through. Please pray for all the mothers that have lost their babies, big or small. Pray for the moms the are pregnant now. Hold your babies tight tonight and Thank God for what he has blessed you with.
