My Father in law!
Hall of Fame : TOM PRITCHARD
Tom Pritchard did not get his start in the "Typical born in a bakery - famiy business" type of beginning. His Mother loved to bake homemae bread, pies, and cinnamon rolls. When she developed severe Rhrumatioid Arthritis he learned the "rudiments" of the baking and cooking as a matter of necessity, never planning on pursuing a baking career.
When he got out of the Navy in 1969 he started to work at Randall Foods in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He worked in the bakery and learned baking with Karl Miesemer, a Greman master Baker and Bernard DeBoer, a Dutch Master Baker, he learned on the job. In April of 1980 Tom took over as manager of the bakery. Tome worked tirelessly for Randall's achieving several awards for his proficiency and skill. He spoke at the National Grocer's convention on " Running a Profitable Bakery."
In 1992 he achieved Master Baker Certification in the Retai Baker's Association. In 1998 he went to work for HyVee in Fort Dodge, Iowa. This bakery has been in the " million dollar sales club," the last two years! The sales have topped the million dollare mark by $200,000,000 and $300,000,000.
Tom was a member, Board Memeber , and President of the Iowa Bakers. Since 2007 he has been on the Upper Miswest Bakery Assocaiton Board. In 2008 he became an instructor in the Culinary Arts program at the local Community College. He teaches Basic and Adavanced Baking and pastry classes.

2010 at our home!
I have been attending a wonderul bible study with a few friends. This past week, I heard something I think I will share! "We do not need a God that we can hold, We need a God that holds us." How true of a statement is that! WOW...I have never thought about it that much. How many times in your life have you wanted God to appear and talk to you, face to face? However, that is not how God works, he carries us and holds us! He is there for us, all we have to do is ask.
Well, to change the subject, we have been oh so busy. It's basketball season, soccer sign-ups, baseball sign-ups, softball meeting and practices. Meetings for Girls Scouts, March of Dimes, School and everything else. Ch- has been doing really well at Cosmo, Br- is really good at basketball, she has made alot of goals this year! D- is starting to read and spell words. He turned "5" last week. The weather has been really bad this year. We have gotten a total of 14 inches in the last two months. For us that is alot.
I will be posting pics on here soon! Hope everyone enjoys our thoughts for the day. Have a great week!

Sacrifice
I have been thinking of this alot lately! What do you think this word means? Do you think that others should ask us to Sacrifice something we really like for them? Something that will not hurt you and is not wrong in any way? What have you sacrificed for someone you love? What is to much and what is wrong of them to ask of you? How much is to much? Let me know what you are thinking.
